As a customer of Security Bank, N.A., you provide us with important information about yourself. We believe it is our responsibility to safeguard your personal and financial information. While some financial institutions share account owner information with other businesses, we are committed to keeping it confidential.
We have developed the following privacy policy to ensure you the confidentiality you deserve. You have our promise that we will adhere to these guidelines. It is our pledge to you.
NOTICE OF YOUR FINANCIAL PRIVACY RIGHTS
We, our, and us, when used in this notice, mean Security Bank, N.A.
This is our privacy notice for our customers. When we use the words "you" and "your" we mean the following types of customers:
- Our consumer customers who have a continuing relationship by purchasing or holding financial products or services such as the following:
- Deposit account
- Loan account
- Safe deposit box account
- Mortgage brokerage services
We will tell you the sources of the information we collect about you. We will tell you what measures we take to secure that information.
We first define some terms.
"Nonpublic personal information" means information about you that we collect in connection with providing a financial product or service to you. Nonpublic personal information does not include information that is available from public sources, such as telephone directories or government records. Hereafter, we will use the term "information" to mean nonpublic personal information as defined in this section. An "affiliate" is a company we own or control, a company that owns or controls us, or a company that is owned or controlled by the same company that owns or controls us. Ownership does not mean complete ownership, but means owning enough to have control.
A "nonaffiliated third party" is a company that is not an affiliate of ours. This is also known as nonaffiliated third party, or simply, an "other party."

Staff's "Customer Privacy Protection" Pledge
1. Recognition of a Customer’s Expectation of Privacy
- At Security Bank, N.A., we recognize that our customers have a right to expect that their personal financial information will remain private and secure. We will maintain standards to ensure that our customer’s financial information is private and secure at all times.
2. Collection, Retention, and Use of Customer Information
- Security Bank, N.A., will collect, retain and use information about individual customers only where it believes it would be useful (and allowed by law) to administer business and to provide products, services and other opportunities to its customers.
3. Maintenance and Accurate Information
- Security Bank, N.A., will continually strive to maintain complete and accurate information about our customers and their accounts. Should we ever believe that our records contain inaccurate information about our customer, we will investigate our concerns and correct any inaccuracies.
4. Limiting Employee Access to Information
- Security Bank, N.A., will limit employee access to personally identifiable information to those employees with a business reason for knowing such information. The Bank will ensure employees understand the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy. Security Bank, N.A., will take appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary to enforce employee privacy responsibilities.
5. Protection of Information Via Established Security Procedures
- Security Bank, N.A., will maintain appropriate security standards and procedures regarding unauthorized access to customer information.
6. Restrictions on the Disclosure of Account Information
- Security Bank, N.A., will not reveal specific information about customer accounts or other personally identifiable data to nonaffiliated third parties for their independent use, except for the exchange of information with reputable information reporting agencies to maximize the accuracy and security of such information or in the performance of bona fide corporate due diligence, unless:
- The information is provided to help complete a customer initiated transaction;
- The customer requests it;
- The disclosure is required by/or allowed by law (e.g., subpoena, investigation of fraudulent activity, etc.); or
- The customer is informed about the possibility of such disclosure for marketing or similar purposes through a prior communication and is given the opportunity to opt_out.
7. Maintaining Customer Privacy in Business Relationships
- If personally identifiable customer information is provided to a third party, Security Bank, N.A., will insist that the third party adhere to similar privacy principles that keep such information confidential (i.e., service providers such as Fiserv, Inc., and other service providers such as loan brokers.)
